The Little Wren teaches Permanent Cosmetics and Aesthetics for Specialised Reconstructive Treatments at The Little Wren Academy.
Founded in 2015 by Ffion Haf Hughes, The Little Wren has solidified its place as North Wales’ leading clinic in Permanent Makeup and Paramedical Tattooing, offering Advanced Reconstructive Cosmetics as well as bespoke Consultations and Skin Treatments.
We cover everything from Anatomy and Physiology to Pigment Theory and Consultation. All bases will be covered.
Our Multi-award-winning Teacher is ready to guide you through the world of Permanent Make-up to Medical Tattooing.
Studies include Home Studies as well as Physical Practical Sessions and Educational Videos.
Welcome to The Academy
You will begin your studies at home with our 120-hour pre study material pack which will help you familiarise yourself with Anatomy and Physiology, Health and Safety, Blood Borne Pathogens, Needle / Machine Configuration, Techniques, Salon Set Up and Stock Management, Pigment Theory and Consultation. This Pre-Study will allow you to make the most of your physical practical sessions with your mentor. You will have unlimited access to this material, videos, and tutorials so that you may refer to this at any point upon completion of your chosen course. In addition, you will also receive any relevant machine / tools to practice with on matts as part of your pre study. A full kit will be supplied on arrival to your physical course which will have enough resources to fully earn back the cost of the course.
Upon completion of your course, you will gain access to our online support community where you will receive continued support and guidance from your mentors and be joined by our other graduates all on similar journeys to yourself.
All training courses with The Little Wren Academy are fully recognised by CPD Accreditation and the Beauty Industry Approval (BIA) meaning you will receive a fully recognised certification which will allow you to apply for your insurance through Salon Insurance 4 U, our external partner.

The Little Wren (TLW) Academy was founded by Ffion Hughes, a multi-award-winning Permanent Makeup Master who has been perfecting her craft for 10 years. She has since established herself as one of the industry’s leading names when it comes to Micropigmentation, Aesthetics and Skin Health. Not only will you learn the practical skills needed for success, but Ffion will help you set up your own business including legal framework, how to apply for your license in your chosen county, branding, and even the best methods to source clients so that you can begin your journey as soon as you wish upon completion of your chosen course!
